Virginia Beach Launches New Resident Engagement Platform
Residents will now have the opportunity to receive City news and updates via text message and according to their City Council district.
The City of Virginia Beach is transferring its email subscription services from Constant Contact to Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This change will allow for a more customized experience making it even easier to stay up to date with City news, events, programs and projects.
Ultimately, users will be able to:
- Update subscriptions and preferences
- Update contact information
- Elect to receive news via text message
- View news and information by individual City Council districts
- Unsubscribe at any time
The City will migrate all current email addresses in Constant Contact to the new platform and subscribers will continue to receive the City Page Newsletter as they have in the past without having to resubscribe. Users will also have the option to opt-in to receive updates on additional topics as they become available.
Anyone wishing to be added as a new subscriber may sign up. For more information, email the Communications Department at news@VBgov.com.
If you no longer wish to receive news and information from the City of Virginia Beach, please unsubscribe by selecting the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the City Page email no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16.
