Senior Showcase Offers Resources, Awards and More for Seniors
Registration opens April 15. Sponsors and nominations are needed for the annual event.
Each year, the Virginia Beach Mayor’s Commission on Aging presents the Senior Showcase, an opportunity for the community to honor and thank the older residents of Virginia Beach.
The free event features a resource fair of vendors for senior residents, entertainment and lunch. In addition, awards are presented to individuals or organizations that promote, change or add services for seniors of Virginia Beach, benefitting a large segment of the senior community, within the past year. Attendees also will have an opportunity to pick up a hard copy of the Senior Resource Guide, which will be newly updated. It will be available to download online as well.
The 2026 Senior Showcase is 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, May 27, at Princess Anne Recreation Center. Doors open at 9 a.m., and a box lunch is served at 11 a.m. This year’s theme is “Virginia Beach: Riding the wave of the silver tsunami.” Registration is required to attend and is open April 15-May 26 only.
