Sand Soccer Is Back at the Beach

The North American Sand Soccer Championships bring thousands of feet ready to hit the sand this weekend, June 9-11, at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The event welcomes more than 1,000 teams from around the world with fields that span over 20 blocks along the shoreline.

NASSC is the world’s premier single-weekend sand soccer festival with thousands of players showcasing their skills. Attendees can see all levels of play from beginner to professional. There will also be beach flag football, beach volleyball, sand kickball and sand hockey.

During the weekend, June 10-11, the City will charge a daily flat rate of $20 at all municipal garages and lots. Note that the residential rates after 5 p.m. will remain $3.
