Fall Into Fun: Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation’s 2026 Fall Guide

With summer winding down and children back to school, plan for fun this fall with Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation (VBPR). The new Fall 2026 Activity Guide from VBPR has you covered from September through November with parks and recreation programs, events and activities for all ages. Whether you want to try something new, get active or plan a weekend adventure with the family, the guide has it all.
Fall Highlights
Some of the season’s most anticipated events are highlighted in the guide, giving everyone a chance to get outside and enjoy all that Virginia Beach has to offer.
- International Coastal Cleanup — Sept. 19: If giving back is your thing, the International Coastal Cleanup is the perfect way to help keep our beaches and waterways beautiful. From 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers will be dispersed to clean as far north as 40th Street and as far south as 1st Street.
- Fall Fanatics Challenge — Oct. 1-Nov. 30: Try testing your skills and stay active throughout the season with the Fall Fanatics Challenge. Be sure to register by Sept. 30 with your VBPR membership at any of our seven rec centers. A $5 entry fee applies.
- Autumn in the Air — Nov. 7: Attend this annual fall festival, noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 7, which brings live music, family-friendly activities and seasonal fun to celebrate the changing leaves.
