Free Documentary Film Event Addresses Impact of Alzheimer’s Disease
Mayor’s Commission on Aging presents “Cycle of Memory,” Oct. 22
The public is invited to attend a free film screening with a virtual question-and-answer session with the producer of a documentary that addresses the impact of Alzheimer’s disease.
The film “Cycle of Memory” will be screened, followed by the Q&A, 10 a.m. to noon, Oct. 22, at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library Auditorium, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.
Sponsored by the Virginia Beach Mayor’s Commission on Aging, “Cycle of Memory” provides a look at the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on family and friend relationships. It also explores the importance of intergenerational connection, healing painful pasts, and leaving a meaningful time capsule for the future.
The film runs 72 minutes and will be introduced by a Mayor’s Commission on Aging member.
The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. No food or beverages are permitted in the Auditorium.
