Each year, the Virginia Beach Farmers Market celebrates this sweet nectar at its Honey Festival. Free and open to the public, the event takes place this Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with vendors/artisans, food trucks, music and events for the kids.
You can shop the Butterfly Society of Virginia's Plant Sale for plants to attract pollinators to your yard. Visit the Rural Heritage Center and Educational Gardens with the Virginia Beach Master Gardeners to learn more about pollinators.
The Virginia Beach Farmers Market is located at 3640 Dam Neck Road (on the corner of Dam Neck Road and Princess Anne Road). For more information on the market, visit virginiabeach.gov/farmersmarket.
