Hands-on Family Fun Blooms at the Farmers Market for Community Grow Fest

Get ready for a day of exploration and fun at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Community Grow Fest, where you can dig into new skills, meet local experts and experience the world of gardening and healthy living.

Head to the Virginia Beach Farmers Market on Aug. 19 to learn nutrition and family financial planning skills, horticultural and conservation landscaping tips, and discover youth development opportunities available to Virginia Beach residents.

Hosted by Virginia Cooperative Extension, the event invites you to wander through the demonstration gardens managed by the Virginia Beach Extension Master Gardener volunteers, try a quick workshop, pick up practical tips to use at home and enjoy a variety of giveaways and take-home resources. Food trucks will also be available serving local favorites for purchase.
