The H.O.P.E. Initiative was established by Mayor Bobby Dyer in 2023 to connect individuals, businesses and organizations, and create a strong, citywide network that recognizes those who are doing great things.
Virginia Beach is filled with people who are generous and giving and who care for each other. These are nonprofits, businesses, churches and synagogues, civic leagues, community organizations, volunteers – in short, anyone and everyone. It might be your neighbor...it might be YOU! That’s why we have developed the H.O.P.E. initiative: Helping Our People Excel. We want to recognize those who are committed to making their community and city an even better place. What we need from YOU!
