​VB Councilwoman Wooten to Host Neighborhood Meeting

VB Councilwoman Sabrina Wooten is hosting a virtual public meeting on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 6 p.m. Co-hosting and participating in the meeting will be the Hampton Roads Recovery Center (HRRC).

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the progress of HRRC's current improvements to the HRRC's landfill gas system. There will be time available for a Q-and-A with citizens.

HRRC is expanding the existing landfill gas system to include vertical landfill gas extraction well, automated landfill wellheads, and a new flare skid system.

Representatives for HRRC will be available to explain the improvements, as well as a representative from the City's Public Works/Waste Management Division to answer questions on the department's behalf.
