VA Beach Public Works Announces Road Work to Begin on Baker Road
Virginia Beach Public Works has announced there will be a road closure in both directions on Baker Road beginning Saturday, June 12, 2021, for a road improvement project.
Crews will be replacing a bypass pipe under Baker Road that runs between Burton Station Lake and Diamond Springs Road, and then repaving a portion of Baker Road. This work is part of the drainage improvement improvements to provide adequate drainage in the Burton Station Strategic Growth Area.
The road closure will be from 6 a.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. that evening. There will be signage directing motorists to the detour route.
All work is weather permitting. If there is inclement weather on Saturday, the work will begin on Sunday, the 13th, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Conquest USA is the contractor for this work.
