*Update Shooting / 900 block Maximus Square

*Update43-year-old Patrick Fontaine Creath Jr was arrested and charged with Felonious Assault and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a FelonyOn June 19th, 2020 at 4:15pm, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications received a report that someone had been shot in the 900 block of Maximus Square.Preliminary investigation has revealed that there was an altercation between parties known to each other in the 900 block of Maximus Square. The altercation escalated and the suspect produced a handgun, and fired at the victim. The adult male victim was struck, then drove to a nearby 7-11 on Chinquapin Lane to seek assistance. Responding officers located the victim and provided first aid until EMS arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.The adult male suspect stayed on scene of the incident and was taken into custody without incident.This is an active investigation, further information will be provided as it becomes available.MPO Linda J KuehnVirginia Beach Police Department / public Affairs Officer
