*Update​28-year-old Michael Joseph Baker of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with use of a firearm in commission of a felony, felonious assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied building. He is being held a tthe Virginia Beach Correctional Facility.On Friday, June 19th, 2020, at approximately 1:44 a.m., an officer was flagged down by a citizen in the 4000 block of Bonney Road. The citizen, an adult male, suffered from a gunshot wound after getting into a dispute with another adult male. Officers render aid to the victim at the location, and the victim was later transported by EMS to a local hospital with serious, but believed to be non-life-threatening, injuries. Officers canvassed the area and located the adult male suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and charges are pending.This is still an ongoing investigation and this is all the information this is available at this time.MPO L.H.
