Virginia Beach Voter Registration & Elections must certify the election results by Tuesday, Nov. 10 and the State Board Meets to certify Virginia's results on Nov. 16.Final totals from Virginia Beach's nearly 100 polling locations will be posted to VBgov.com/voter and the Virginia Department of Elections website https://results.elections.virginia.gov/vaelections/2020%20November%20General/Site/Presidential.html. Results as of 11 p.m. must be sent to the Virginia Department of Elections. SUMMARYElection Day went very smoothly.No reports of lines at polling locations delaying polling location closures.As of 6 p.m., the total number of voters today was 93,611 (that's about 29% of the City's 322,931 registered voters) As of 6 p.m., the estimated cumulative number of voters (includes mail-in ballots received to date and early in-person voting) is 229,000, or about 71% of all registered voters. 9,446 mail-in ballots have not yet been returned. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by today, but may be received and tallied through this Friday, Nov. 6 at noon.Total voter turnout is expected to reach 80% once all votes are tallied.The process of tallying the early votes could only begin at 7 p.m. The full count may not be complete by 11 p.m.###
