Assisting Veterans in Starting or Expanding Small Businesses is Focus of Free Workshop on Nov. 21, 2020 from 9 AM to Noon
Participate Virtually or in Person at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.On the heels of Veterans Day, Veterans Unlimited: Opening Doors is the theme of the upcoming Ignite small business workshop hosted by City Council Member Sabrina Wooten. Experts will offer advice on ways to help veterans interested in pursuing their own business ventures following their military service, including: Overcoming Common ChallengesAddressing Common Misconceptions About Disabled VeteransCertifications and Capital FundingWellness Programs and ServicesBest Educational Programs for VeteransRetired Army General Ron Lewis will be the keynote speaker. Following his military service, Ron founded LTC2 Solutions, a global consulting and executive coaching firm that specializes in leader development and strategic planning. He and his diverse team of veteran leaders have provided seminars, training and consulting services for several regional businesses, schools and municipalities. Ron also serves as the vice-chair of Military Affairs for the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.The Hampton Roads Workforce Council is partnering on this event.
