Virginia Beach Annual State of the City Address to be Live Streamed on

Today, Virginia Beach Mayor Robert M. "Bobby" Dyer and City Manager Patrick Duhaney will deliver the annual State of the City address at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St. The event is the first in a series of five sponsored by the Hampton Roads Chamber.

This year's presentation will be live-streamed online at approximately 12:30 p.m.

During their remarks, the mayor and city manager will highlight key accomplishments and initiatives taking place throughout the city, provide project updates, recognize several residents and organizations, and provide a look forward for the city. The talk will focus on the city's path to "Recover, Reinvest and Reimagine" the future while navigating the current pandemic.

The presentation will include videos featuring business and organization happenings; Capital Improvement Program projects taking place throughout the city and new event announcements.

The State of the City address is scheduled to be rebroadcast on Cox Channel 48 and Verizon Channel 45, beginning Sunday, March 20, and play through Saturday, April 2, as scheduled below:

  • Sunday – 6 p.m.
  • Monday – 6 a.m.
  • Wednesday – 8 a.m.
  • Thursday – 3 p.m.
  • Friday – 9 p.m.
  • Saturday – 10 p.m.
