Barricaded Suspect on Northvale Drive Taken Into Custody Without Incident

​On October 27th 2020 at approximately 8:01 am, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications received a report of a firearm violation in the 1200 block of Northvale Drive.Initial callers indicated that a male suspect had brandished a firearm, and made verbal threats towards a victim in the 1200 block of Northvale Drive. The suspect and victim were not known to each other. Officers arrived on scene and were directed to the home that the suspect entered. Officers determined that the suspect was the only occupant of the residence at that time, and that he had access to multiple firearms. Multiple attempts to communicate with the suspect were made, to which he ignored.Members of the VBPD Special Operations SWAT team responded and continued attempting to communicate with the suspect. The suspect eventually complied with the officers instructions to exit the house. He was taken into custody without incident.35-year-old Ekron Ackielon Brown, of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Brandishing a Firearm.
